FULL PROFILE:

Gandy was raised in Ul'Dah by his mother, where they lived far out of sight of the Ishgardian nobility on her sex worker's paycheck. He grew up exploring the city while his mother took clients, an unavoidable lack of stability, but beloved by Sultansworn and street food vendors alike. Despite their detachment from Coerthas, he and his mother picked up the Halonic faith from their experiences there, and as Gandy got older he became a humble - if scatterbrained - priest for those practicing in Thanalan.

At around age 20, his noble father finally made a bid to be rid of him that succeeded: through some mix of unstable magics and low-level Ascian meddling, Gandy was ripped from his home in the Source and sent to the First, utterly bereft and penniless. Through a haze of confusion and grief, he found himself in Eulmore, where he relied on his own street-smarts and the charm his mother had instilled in him to survive. He spent about a decade as a high-end escort in the city of final pleasures during the thrall before a solution was found and he was able to be returned home.

Continuing the work he'd begun in the First, Gandy now takes clients as a sex worker with a flair of warm, self-effacing agelessness, and keeps both himself and his mother safe in Ul'Dah again. He doesn't speak of the last decade - if that is in fact how long it was in the Source - other than in vague metaphor, half-convinced it was a terrible dream. He seems to find catharsis in being a source of comfort for others, however, that they may never feel without a home.
